The Business started in 1983 when two brothers Andy and Lee Whitehead opened a cake shop just yards away from the present site. The Brothers are fifth generation bakers, with their Grandfather John Gilbert operating a family bakery in Bedworth since 1920 for many years. The brothers decided to go it alone and opened the cake shop which specialised in celebration cakes. Customer demand ensured that other confectionary was also made and as the business rapidly grew a bakery was purchased in 1985. That was followed by four more shops which supplied the local area with bread, confectionary and celebration cakes until 1999 when it was decided to sell off the bakery and shops to concentrate on the original Celebration cake side of the business. By now the Cake shop had moved to its present premises and in 2003 doubled in size to become one of the largest celebration cake bakeries in the Midlands . All of the celebration cakes are made on the premises from the highest quality fresh ingredients by highly trained confectioner, Tim Blissett and decorated under the watchful eye of the brothers and their sister Jude Reader, who controls the Finishing room and ensures that all of the cakes leaving the shop are to our high standard. Both Tim and Jude have worked with the brothers for over twenty years so the high standards are assured.

Andy Whitehead specialises in Chocolate wedding cakes and is forever creating another mouth watering chocolate delight.
